Tom: I’m out in Santa Clara, California at Brandon Hall Research’s Innovations in Learning Conference. Yesterday we had fun driving around Silicon Valley in the Brandon Hall van (see Gary Woodill at the wheel at right). We had a wonderful wine-and-cheese hour and dinner at Brandon’s house, cooked by Brandon’s daughter Karen.
Brandon served a Big Yellow Cab 2003, which was excellent: medium bodied and medium tannicity, nice ruby color, with hints of cherries and berries. Delicious.

Tom and Melody
I was very pleased to hear you enjoyed the Big Yellow Cab. I am one of the partners here at Mendocino Wine co. That was our first release and while very nice, I think you will find the subsequent vintages even better. If you need any help finding this or other wines from Mendocino feel free to contact me. In addition to several gold medals it was recently chosen as the number one cab out of 160 in a blind test. Lots to celebrate. Enjoy.
