Really nice to hear from you, Barb. And, interesting to hear that the Chateau Andrea is popular in restaurants. I can certainly understand why that is so! Enjoy the club!

I had been a member of 4 Seasons for about two years, cancelled for personal reasons for about same amount of time and recently rejoined. Fortunately my first shipment as renewed member (all reds) incluced 4 bottles of the 2006 Cab. I am just finishing my 2nd bottle. I, too, am absolutely delighted with this wine. The remaining two bottles are set aside as gifts for friends who shared the 1st two bottles with me and loved it. I will be ordering a full case.
By the way, one of these persons works on the restaurant side of Holiday Inn. She tells me Chateau Andrea wines are very popular choice on their banquet menu. They have often served the Cab at these fumctions and people often inquire whether they can purchase bottles to take home. (a no-no for hotels, restaurants, etc., I'm told.) Thought this was a great kudo for this wine. though.
Glad to be back in the 4 Season fold - an outstanding wine club. A toast of '06 Cab to them !!!

Someone gave me a bottle of Chateau Andrea Cab 2005 and my husband and I enjoyed it so much. When I went to search for it online (which I rarely do), I found your comments. You are spot on with this one! Fantastic!

Thank you for reporting back, Janice. Perhaps that heat did get to the wine. I'm glad to know that you still think it is good.

Tom & I are having a wonderful Father's Day cocktail hour while grilling chicken. Thank you for thinking of him!

Well, I hate to say it, but it's just not as good as we remembered. It's a bit sharper to the nose and on the tongue than the 2005 which, as I recall, had a more velvety feel. Don't get me wrong, it is still a good wine especially after it has had a chance to open up a bit--at least 20 minutes or so. And perhaps the south Louisiana heat was more than it could bear. I plan to store a bottle or two properly for at least a year to see if it ages well. It's an on-going adventure!

Well my case of Chateau Andrea arrived via ups yesterday, just as we were heading out to, of all things, a private wine-tasting at a local wine shop. Opening the first bottle in a few minutes after it has had time to cool off a bit in the fridge. It's 93 degrees right now (down from 97 earlier) and I'm hoping my shipment didn't stay in the UPS truck long enough to ruin the wine. When the wine reaches "room temperature" I'll pop the cork, let it breathe awhile, and post again. Keeping my fingers crossed.
